Isaiah 52:14, The Sin Bearing Servants

Corrected translation:

“Behold my servant shall deal intelligently.  He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.”

“His ability to see patterns of corruption was superior to any man, so shall he astonish many nations.  Kings will shut their mouths at him, for what had not been told them, they shall see.”

The key word in Strong’s Bible Concordance is number 4758 Hebrew which is a noun and not the descriptive word “marred” which is used in all English translations of Isaiah.

The servant is further described as someone without a marked out territory.  No boundaries, no sign of power or outward importance.  The English words ‘form and comeliness’ are the misleadng translations for the description of the servant, which I’d like to think that, at this point, we can call the servants legion.  Q is largely responsible for this.

Speaking to the Ammonites (in-breeders, descendants of Lot’s children by his daughters),

Isaiah 47:10

“For you have trusted in your wickedness, you have said, “No one sees me…”

Isaiah 47:14

Behold, they shall be as stubble. [stubble is ‘CASH’ in Hebrew].

The fire shall burn them, they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame, not a coal to warmed by, or a fire to sit before…No one shall save you.
