An overturned boat in Beirut Port harbor isn’t charred at all. Another image shows that, before the blast, a single boat was at the center of the new round hole, now filled with water, between the silos and the harbor. Half of the hole is in the water of the bay, as seen at the very beginning of this:
Other ‘before’ photos show several boats anchored in that precise spot. This corresponds with anonymous comments that the target was a military vessel anchored in the harbor. One of the explosions was related to the ordinance on that ship, according to that opinion.
